Join Us for the Culmination Performance of Dance and Poetry of Japan Workshop!

The workshop participants will present the Japanese classical dance, Yanagi no Wakaba (Young Leaves of Willows) and dances inspired by Haiku verses, and Renku (linking verses). A special guest, Beth Griffith will join as a vocalist to accompany the dances. Also, Hiei Oroshi, choreographed by Ito to selected poems from Shajin-Shu, the collection of poems by Chinese poetesses in the 7th century.
The presentation will conclude with dance improvisation on Haiku stanzas from the audience. Audiences are invited to bring their own Haiku.
The program will be followed by a reception with beverages and snacks.
